Your Puppy Is Always Learning
Your Puppy is Always Learning – Start Training from Day One
In this video, we’ll talk about how your puppy is constantly learning from the moment they come home. Whether you’re intentionally training or not, your puppy is picking up habits. If you don’t set boundaries early—like staying off the couch or not chewing furniture—they’ll assume those behaviors are acceptable.
To set your puppy up for success, make sure everyone in your home is on the same page:
• Consistent Commands – Use the same words for recall, corrections, and basic obedience. If “come” is for recall, everyone should use “come.” If “no” is for unwanted behaviors, stick with that across the board.
• Structured Routine – Set feeding, watering, and bathroom schedules to create consistency. For example, feed in the morning, take them outside immediately after, and repeat in the evening.
• Clear Expectations – Discuss rules and routines with family members before your puppy arrives to avoid confusion.
The more consistent you are, the faster your puppy will learn. If you want access to the full course, click here.
